Our B&B is perched on the top of a

hill in the village of Govone; this is the view of the

beautiful Piedmont countryside from the balconies of

all our rooms.

Il Molino B&B looks onto the gardens of Govone Castle, which UNESCO named a World Heritage Site in 1997. Our B&B is just across the road from a path that leads directly up to the castle gardens, and guests can take a leisurely stroll around this beautiful piece of greenery. Govone lies at the heart of Langhe Roero and Monferrato, areas known worldwide for their excellent wines, which include Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Moscato d’Asti and Roero. They are also famous for their excellent cheeses and cuisine.

We have restored a part of the old mill as our home and converted the rest into the B&B’s rooms and communal areas.
This arrangement ensures you have your own privacy and are free to come and go as you please. However, if you wish, we would be delighted to advise and accompany you around the stunning areas of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.

Our B&B lies in the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas of Piedmont, north-west Italy.

This is a fairly elementary statement for anyone who knows the region, so I’d to explain some of its main attractions to newcomers:

ITALIA by singer-songwriter Mino Reitano says this: “Italia, Italia, di terra bella e uguale non ce n’è” (Italy, Italy, beautiful land that has no equal).

The produce and landscape of Piedmont are two of the many reasons Italy is unique.

The areas of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato are magical parts of the Piedmont region and home to fine truffles, excellent reds wines (Barolo, Barbera, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Roero and Ruchè) and whites wines (Arneis, Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante), stunning panoramas and majestic castles. Govone is a quaint village that has been praised by a range of authoritative magazines for its quality of life. Its central location means that our ‘hotel’ is just a short distance from some of the region’s most interesting locations, such as the wine towns Alba, Asti, Barolo and Barbaresco and the spa towns La Morra and Acqui Terme. I call it a ‘hotel’ here because it reminds me of Il Centro, my grandparents’ hotel and restaurant where I grew up.
