Govone lies in the south east of Piedmont, right at the heart of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas.
The map shows that our B&B sits between Alba and Asti and is near to a range of interesting sites:
It is 16 km from Alba, 18 km from Asti,
49 km from Turin, 50 km from Alessandria,
and 70 km from Cuneo.

Govone’s strategic hilltop position has always made it a crossroads between Piedmont and Ligura and consequently between their capitals Turin and Genoa. Govone was also an important Roman settlement, as a number of archaeological finds have shown.
The medieval borgo, or borough, surrounding the Gothic church of San Secondo and the majestic Govone Castle. The local hills produce grapes for some of the area’s most famous wines.
Piedmont reds: Barbera d’Alba (DOC), Bonarda (DOC), Dolcetto (DOC), Nebbiolo d'Alba (DOC), and Roero (DOCG).
Piedmont whites: Roero Arneis (DOCG) and Langhe Favorita (DOC).
The fertile plain surrounding the town also produces a range of vegetables and cereals.
