Castles

Castello Reale di Govone Govone Castle, once a House of Savoy residence, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1997.	Govone Castle and Gardens Govone Castle is surrounded by English-style and Italian gardens, which are perfect for a leisurely walk.
Barolo Castle Barolo Castle is the headquarters of Enoteca Regionale del Barolo (Barolo Regional Wine Cellar), and of WiMu, the Barolo wine museum.	Grinzane Cavour Castle Grinzane Cavour Castle is one of the oldest in the Langhe. Today it is the headquarters of the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour (Piedmont Regional Wine Cellar) and the first wine association of its kind to be founded in Piedmont.
Serralunga d’Alba Castle Serralunga d’Alba Castle was once a watchtower and is set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. It perches on a hilltop overlooking the town, its Gothic architecture jutting into the sky.	Magliano Alfieri Castle Magliano Alfieri Castle is mentioned by the Italian dramatist and poet Vittorio Alfieri in his letters. It is home to the Museo dei Soffitti in Gesso (Plaster Ceiling Museum) and displays examples of decorative plaster and wood ceilings, which were once popular decor in local homes.
Cisterna d’Asti Castle Cisterna d’Asti Castle is surrounded by a set of solid walls and is overlooked by a medieval watchtower. Today it is home to the Museo delle Arti e Mestieri di un Tempo, a museum that traces the history of traditional crafts and trades.	Mango Castle Mango Castle is the headquarters of Enoteca Regionale del Moscato d’Asti (Moscato d’Asti Regional Wine Cellar), which promotes the area’s popular sparkling wine and local culture.
Casale Monferrato Castle Casale Monferrato Castle is the headquarters of Enoteca Regionale del Monferrato (Monferrato Regional Wine Cellar), which promotes Monferrato’s extensive list of fine wines.	Borgo Castello in La Mandria Regional Park Borgo Castello stands in La Mandria Regional Park and is part of UNESCO’s House of Savoy residences in Piedmont.
Racconigi Castle and Gardens Racconigi Castle is one of the House of Savoy residences in Piedmont and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2010, the castle won the “Italy’s Most Beautiful Gardens” award.

La Reggia	Palazzos
Reggia di Venaria Reale The Royal Palace of Venaria is one of the main Savoy residences in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.	Palazzina di Caccia Reale di Stupinigi and its gardens The Stupinigi Royal Hunting Lodge was designed by Sicilian architect Filippo Juvara and is one of UNESCO’s royal residences in Piedmont. It stands at the heart of what is today a nature reserve under the protection of the Piedmont Region.
